Tuesday afternoon Update
According to Chron.com, “Further notice” came quickly.
A day after Rockets guard Tracy McGrady said “until further notice, I’m going to have to shut it down,” he was running through practice as if he never felt a shot of pain in Monday’s second half and never said the frustration had him reconsidering the idea of playing his way back to full strength.
McGrady said he was not certain he would play, but the chances had improved as much as his knee. He said he was “hopeful” he could play, called the MRI that was planned and cancelled “not necessary” and did not describe himself as like to stop playing entirely. “Right now, tomorrow is not…

With the economy in the tank, foreign policy issues (other than the war in Iraq) are as hard to sell in Hollywood as they are in Washington.
Certainly, voters in last week’s election had little but layoffs and plunging home prices on their minds when they went to the polls. But a cadre of dedicated celebrity activists is still hoping to make a place for issues — such as the genocide in the Sudanese region of Darfur — in the American conscience.

Tracy was a guest on Thursday on the Jim Rome Show. In their interview the pair discussed Tracy’s meeting with Barack Obama during the President Elect’s campaign, how Ron Artest is fitting into the team both on the court and in the locker room, and the upcoming release of his documentary that he is producing based on his trip to the refugee camps he visited in Darfur last off season.
