Tuesday afternoon Update
According to Chron.com, “Further notice” came quickly.
A day after Rockets guard Tracy McGrady said “until further notice, I’m going to have to shut it down,” he was running through practice as if he never felt a shot of pain in Monday’s second half and never said the frustration had him reconsidering the idea of playing his way back to full strength.
McGrady said he was not certain he would play, but the chances had improved as much as his knee. He said he was “hopeful” he could play, called the MRI that was planned and cancelled “not necessary” and did not describe himself as like to stop playing entirely. “Right now, tomorrow is not ruled out,” McGrady said. “I have to talk to coach and the trainers, maybe even monitor my minutes more. I could play. We just have to come out with some sort of solution. I don’t want to be out there looking the way I am right now. Me, coach, the trainers have to come up with some sort of solution.”
Tracy re-injured his surgically repaired left knee on the 2nd possession of the 2nd half of last night’s win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Tracy was off to a good start with 8 points on 4-6 shooting in 18 minutes, but left the floor grimacing after passing the ball to Luis Scola. The coaching staff held Tracy out for the rest of the night, and Tracy will receive an MRI today on his knee.
“My knee gave out on me,” T-Mac told the Houston Chronicle. “They told me if I was to go back in, and they saw me limping they were going to take me back out. I was like, “Well, that’s what you’re pretty much going to see.’ My knee is feeling right. I hate to do this, but I’m going to get an MRI tomorrow and until, further notice, I’m going to have to shut it down.
“Tonight, I went back to square one, like before even surgery. I’ve always been feeling it, but tonight, before that particular play, I came up and it just gave out on me. I’ve been trying to work my way into playing shape and strengthen my leg. I’ve never been 100 percent. I’ve just been hoping playing on it would put me over the edge and I won’t have any more pain, but it hasn’t worked.”

You are such a gifted player. Save your knee for the finals against the lakers and celtics. Like many other fans, I hold an equal amount of respect for your humanitarian efforts and the great message it conveys as an internationally known athlete. Aloha mr. T

Hey IDOL! I wish you come back playing soon! Rockets need you out there. I feel there’s no energy in the team if you’re not playing with them. Hopefully your knee will get better and get your 100 percent game back.

Hi Mac, today is Thanksgiving Day. Happy Thanksgiving Day! I thank basketball, because of basketball, I know you. I thank you. Because of you, I know what is happiness. To watch you play on the court is the happiest thing. I hope you will get better soon. Games without Tmac are very boring. Give my best wishes to you!

I drew this up for you T-mac this is a play my coach used with me last year.
Offense zone
Playname : Red zone offense
When 1 picks up dribble, 4 and 5 break to high post.
1 passes to 5 and 2 and 3 back cuts.
If 2 is open pass to him.
3 clears to corner.
24 screens for 1 and 5 skip passes to 1.
34 and 5 set door screen for 2 coming up through for the shot.
1 passes to 2 for shot.
42 takes the shot.
4, 5 and 3 go for the rebound

Yeah T-mac I agree with Jason, I think you should sit out and get to full strength. You’re not able to play to your strength’s and that’s why this team is far off from being title contenders. We’re 10-5 right now but every game is pretty much a struggle when it shouldn’t be. We need you to shoot well and have big nights so teams can over play you and be more concerned about you so things can be a lot more easier for the other guys. Our offense looks weak compared to teams like the Lakers, Celtics, and the Pistons. I remember back when you were in Orlando, it was like we got enough offense but no defense. You guys had enough offense because you were putting up Jordan like numbers. Now here in Houston we got all of these defenders man but at times our offense sucks and it’s boring. Houston brought you in to be a threat offensively which something you’re not doing right because of the knee. I don’t think Rick Adelman understand that, because I see you’re not getting the ball alot and not taking shots, it’s frustrating as a fan to see a bunch games like this from you. In order for this team to be great we need everyone to play to their strengths, I don’t really know what type of player Adelmans trying to make you but it’s not fun to watch, this is basketball man you’re more of a scorer than anything else. So stop playing in these games and see what you have to do rehab that knee and work hard on it man don’t let it get the best of you like it did Penny.
Jason Lovette | on 25/11/08
T-mac go ahead and shut it down for a couple games man. You gotta find away to get that knee stronger, work hard to get back to full strength. Don’t injure it anymore, ask question about it to. Kobe had knee surgury too, I don’t remember him having too many problems with it afterwards. Maybe you could ask him or Jason Kidd because I know this is your first surgery and you don’t want to end up like Penny. But those guys seem to have overcome the problem pretty well. It’s early and were 10-5 I believe, so I want to see you out there at full strength. Some times I get mad at you for not being aggressive out there but I forget that you’re just coming off of surgury. You’re not really getting the ball alot anyway so chill out for a while and get better, you’re not far off man just go through your work outs with Mr.Wayne Hall.

Hi Trae
great game last night. I guess you felt like you had to take over….go Trae, that’s was up !!! You guys had so many close games, frustrating to me as well. But in the end “ You will Prevail”. We postponed our trip to Germany, so once again I will be in the ATL to see you guys kick around the Hawks a little. My husband got the tickets for Christmas. Can’t wait til Shane gets back, you guys are awesome. Hopefully you will pose for us this time, or maybe we even get your autograph…. I will probably faint. Anyway, getting ready for the game tonight against Manchild…good luck to you guys. Man you are back at your game.
GO ROCKETS
Yours Angelika

Tracy,
I know you can’t wait to get back and jump right back in to your superstar shoes, but it’s going to take time. Just have faith in your team and get yourself healthy. Don’t be the guy who tried too hard at the wrong time. Have patience and it will come. I’m going thorugh a knee surgery right now too, and trying to get on the baseball field before I’m 100% isn’t going to help anybody. Sometimes even the best need to step back, and pick up whatever their injury made them drop on the road to their goal.

Tracy you are the BEST – i hope you and Houston will be the champion this season – i’ll pray for you

Hey T-Mac, i pray you can play tonight. I hate seeing you unable to fight through screens and not being confident with your athleticism. You are worth millions to this team and i understand you want to play and play well. Its frustrating to watch you play this way because I know at any moment you could explode for 40! I just pray you get better and healthy. The season is early right now. Your team will come through for you, but without a doubt, they will NEED you to have any success in the playoffs. I know Yao, Ron and the Rockets are a damn good team. But with you, it puts that stamp of approval with this team to be GREAT!!! Get healthy man.

The knee or base of the body is associated with feelings of insecurity, self pity, aggresiveness, and fearfulness. T-MAC, carefully, thoughtfully, and prayerfully(mediating/deep thinking) resolve whatever or whomever is causing you to feel those emotions I’ve just described and you’ll see and feel healing powers positively take effect in your life.
